prison escape

Overview:
A VR game puzzle game done in a course offered by Carnegie Mellon University. This is a single player game, and the player needs to solve a series of puzzles. The ultimate goal is to get out of prison.  The assignment asked us to design our game in a straightforward way so that it is clear to the players what the next steps  are.

Platform: Quest 3
Team Size: 5 people, including 2 programmers, 2 artists, and 1 sound designer
Time: 2 weeks
Game Engine: Unity

My Role and contribution:
I am the artist and one of the game designers on the team. I pitched the idea of prison escape with a medieval dungeon background and participated in designing some core gameplay mechanics.
I modeled the dungeon scene and the guard model.

Playtest video

During our presentation, the school invited naive guests to play our game. They have never played our games before but are expected to know what the next steps are without direct instruction.

3D model

Software used:
Maya, 3D substance painter, 3D substance designer, Unity

I used Substance Designer to make the brick pattern.
